EUROINS Greece participated as a Sponsor at the Insurance Forum Athens Edition 2026, held on Friday, February 27 at the Hotel Grande Bretagne, actively contributing to the dialogue on one of the most critical risks of our time: natural disasters and the economic resilience of businesses.
As part of the event, the General Manager of EUROINS Greece, Ms. Angeliki Mouratidou, participated as a speaker in the panel discussion titled “Natural Catastrophes: From Risk Modeling to Institutional Resilience”, where key topics included how scientific risk modeling, data, and insurance solutions can translate into meaningful protection for the economy, businesses, and society.
During the discussion, it was highlighted that natural disasters now constitute an increasingly significant and systemic risk, making the need for stronger insurance coverage and more effective risk management mechanisms more urgent than ever.
Ms. Mouratidou emphasized that the modern insurance market is called upon to respond to a new risk environment, where prevention, data-driven insights, and the use of technology play a crucial role.
In her remarks, she highlighted, among others:
- the need to strengthen insurance awareness, as many individuals still underestimate their real exposure to natural risks,
- the importance of reducing the “protection gap”, i.e., the gap between actual risk exposure and insurance coverage,
- the role of technology, data analytics, and digital tools in improving risk assessment and developing more effective insurance solutions,
- as well as the necessity of integrating natural catastrophe coverage into business portfolios, enabling companies to respond more effectively to modern challenges.
- Special reference was also made to the role of innovation and artificial intelligence in accelerating claims processes, allowing insurance companies to provide services with greater speed, transparency, and reliability.
EUROINS’ participation in the Insurance Forum confirms the company’s ongoing commitment to developing modern insurance solutions and contributing to the public dialogue on managing emerging risks shaped by climate change.
EUROINS continues to invest in innovation, technology, and its people, actively contributing to shaping a more resilient, modern, and better-prepared insurance market for the challenges of the future.
